Thanks Elaine - they're sure fun to make and surprisingly strong once done. I keep thinking of other colours and shapes I'd like to make for displaying thread and fabrics at shows! Ah, but I did spend most of the day on a customer quilt today - one which I'm hoping the customer will let me post a picture of.
Love the bowl. It really looks like a fun project. And how, where did you get that Countdown counter for your blog? I have been searching for that code for weeks.
I got the counter code from Google Gadgets. If you click on that at the bottom of my counter, it will take you to that page. They click 'find gadgets' on the left, enter 'counter' in the search box, and it should be the first thing to come up.
They don't use up too much fabric! I have a big bin of various length 1" strips that I've been working out of for most of it, but did get into yardage somewhat for the last one. I think it was 6 short-ish strips for the base, 5 or 6 full WOF strips for each of the large orange areas, and a couple here and there in other colours for the accents. Not enough to make too much of a dent in my stash, just enough to have some fun. I might have to make a few of these for gifts.

Those are really neat! Do they use up a lot of fabric?
